EDK is seeking a qualified Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its team at the American University in Baghdad.

💼 Required Experience: 5–8 years in mechanical design
🎯 Job Purpose
To lead complex mechanical design and engineering activities, ensuring high-quality, code-compliant design solutions while supporting the Design Office Manager.
📋 Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development of complex mechanical designs and technical solutions.
• Review and validate designs prepared by Mechanical Engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and external consultants on technical matters.
• Mentor and guide Mechanical Engineers and Junior Mechanical Engineers.
• Prepare periodic reports and follow up on assigned tasks with the Design Office Manager.
🎓 Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design software.
• Strong knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Relevant professional certification or license is preferred.
